What is RIOT?
The Research Information Outreach Team (RIOT) is a volunteer group of the Canadian Cancer Society. We are graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in cancer research labs who are specifically focused on research outreach. Working with the Canadian Cancer Society, we communicate the impact of cancer research, including Society-funded research, to you through our blog as well as public speaking events.
The Canadian Cancer Society currently supports 3 RIOT teams across Ontario – in London, Toronto and Kingston. Since 2011, our Toronto team has been dedicated to raising awareness about the progress and promise of cancer research to our city and the surrounding GTA.
